Wells Fargo closed my account with them -/-/-. I contacted their customer service department to figure out why my account was closed. They confirmed that because I had reported my card lost, they had to open a new account. I was angry and told them I did not wish to open a new account. I was left without a bank account for a while. Was unable to deposit/cash my work checks and I was unable to pay my bills. This caused me so much stress and decided to start with a new financial institution. -/-/-, I found out Wells Fargo had gotten into serious trouble for opening accounts without people 's consent. I inquired on it and they sent me a form ( see attached ). I filled out the form and demanded $800.00 for damages and time lost. -/-/- I was contacted by their mediator by the name of - -. She said they were able to settle for $400.00. I accepted on -/-/-, and was told I would receive my check within 20 business days. - also said that the new account had a check deposited from my credit union account and


have not received anything. I called her on -/-/- and she did not call me back until -/-/- saying the check was sent on Monday -/-/-. I contacted Wells Fargo mediation department to confirm the information - had given me and I was told the check has yet to be processed. The rep told me she would submit a request to have someone call me back with the correct information. I received a voicemail today, ( -/-/- ). No one knew who contacted me so I was then transferred to a rep who said they could help me track the check. This person was unable to help me and was transferred back to their customer service department where I was told my request would be escalated to someone who would have the right information for me. This was the same person I spoke with on Monday ( from Mediation dept ). I am sick and tired of wasting valuable time from my day to deal with Wells Fargo. They have messed up with my finances -/-/- closing my account without a valid reason authorized by me and opened a new account without my consent. I am extremely upset and demand $1000.00 for the time wasted going back and forth with them - and now.
