They call me multiple times a day for a debt that was already taken care of. I have asked them numerous times to verify this debt, and their response is just the amount I owe. Then they try to barter with me and say if I can pay half, they 'll close the account and not send this to the credit bureau. Since they are haggling with me on what I can pay, and do n't verify this debt - I believe this is a scam.
