I received a new Walmart Mastercard in the mail that I did n't sign-up for. I called Walmart MasterCard Synchrony Bank fraud department and they had my social security number and address. I have never owned a MasterCard or had a Walmart card of any sort. Someone opened the card on -/-/- and purchased something for $700.00 ( plus ) on -/-/-. Walmart Mastercard Synchrony Bank could not tell me who opened the card or where the card was opened, however they asked if we had an Amazon credit card. We do not, but we do purchase through Amazon and they have had our credit card numbers. That was done on Sunday, -/-/2017 and today ( -/-/- ) I had the - County sheriff over to file a fraud report.
