Amex Credit card department,
I called on -/-/- regarding fraud on my Corporate AME-. The card was closed and the representative removed the charge instantly. But because I made a previous payment the Friday before of $1000.00, I overpaid. I was told by the rep that a check would be sent to my home in 3-4 business days and a new card would be sent to my home as well. A few days later, I called AME- back to find out where my money is and they explained that due to the holidays, there would be a delay in receiving the check but to be patient. I call back a few days later to track down the card and it had finally been delivered to my HQ in - ... it was being held in - due to our offices being closed for the holidays.
She was on the phone to verify and to release the check to me immediately. She also stated that our company does not have this stipulation on any of our accounts. I spoke with - in the Corporate Customer Dept. at ext. - and she said that there was already an authorization given and that the check had been cut and sent on - -, - via -. I asked her who did they get the authorization from if we were closed for the holidays and she did not answer. I asked her for the - Tracking Number and she said that she could not provide me with that information. She gave me a reference number ( - ) and said that i would receive the check on Wed. -/-/-. At - EST, I arrive home and no UPS notice. I immediately call AME- and try and find out what is going on. I get a rep on the phone who puts me on hold to find out where the check is. He comes back on the line and tells me that the check has not been processed and that I would have to wait. They put me on the phone with a Supervisor - - and she says that there is no record of - - saying yes to releasing the funds and that she will need to call the Corporate Card Services in order to release the funds. I am so upset about this entire process. I have been lied to and I feel like I will NEVER get my money back from AME-. This is crazy. I will be consulting an attorney
