I 'm in the process of trying to cancel American Express Credit Card for my mother. She has never requested this credit card and is unable to cancel herself as she is elderly, suffers from -, and does not speak -. I believe she 's been paying for some time now, because she did not know how to cancel it. When I called American Express, they said she needed to be with me or have a power of attorney. My mother lives in -, and I am in -. We will have to go through great lengths to cancel a credit card she never asked for. I would like American Express to not only cancel this card, but stop preying on the most vulnerable for financial gain. Sincerely, - -
