Citibank Credit card department,
I have had a credit card with Citibank for years. Some years back, I added an " authorized user '' to my account, and Citibank issued that person a card. That person never signed an application, and is not a co-borrower. I was shocked to learn that Citibank is reporting this balance under the " authorized user 's '' credit report, even though this person has - liability to pay the account. I called Citibank to correct this, and they told me it is their policy to report balances for ALL users authorized on an account, REGARDLESS of legal liability on the account. I informed them they were in violation of the FCRA, and they basically said, " tough. '' I would like to file a formal complaint to have Citibank stop this deceptive practice.
