Synchrony Financial Credit card department,
Credit card protection / Debt protection Texas
I mistakenly sent an electronic payment on - to Synchrony credit card company which the balance on the card was $480.00. The $750.00 electronic payment was suppose to go another creditor. When I called Synchrony on -, the agent said they had n't received any money and because I only owed $480.00 and the payment was $750.00, they 'd more than likely kick the payment back. I called twice on -, the day my bank said Synchrony should 've received the payment, Synchrony said no record of payment. I called the next day, -, And then I 'm told the acct was charged off and sold to a third party collection agency and they have no longer have access to any information about the account. I 'm given the collection agency 's number. I called the agency, they have no record of me or my account and tell me to wait 10 days to call to see if they have received my information from Synchrony. I talked to the supervisor 's supervisor at Synchrony and he admits that the account was just charged off on -. In the mean time, the credit card company is holding the $750.00 to eventually forward the payment to collection agency and tell me to get any overpayment difference from them. Synchrony would n't admit they have the $750.00 even though I do n't have the money ( it 's deducted from my checking account since - ) nor does the collection agency ( I 'm yet a client of theirs ) have the money. Logic stands to reason that Synchrony has the money.
