I was paying rent via an account number. However, I inadvertently entered a routing number as the account number. The routing number and the recipients name were correct, and - bank accepted the transfer. Ally ( my bank ) states that it is up to - to return the funds, and - states that it is up to Ally to request the funds be returned.
