I initiated a dispute with Equifax. I filed a complaint with CFPB regarding Equifax not following policies and they refused to respond with the following statement : Please be advised that Equifax will not respond to this complaint via the portal as we suspect that it may have been submitted using a credit repair company. The format and verbiage of this complaint is similar to many other complaints that we have received from consumers utilizing the services of a credit repair company or 'credit clinic '. To ensure the privacy of our response, we will send the results of our reinvestigation to the consumer 's current address utilizing our normal dispute process. However, I am not using a credit repair company. I have been dealing with Equifax for years alone. Previously - account for - - was deleted from my credit file last month and then re added. There are - listings on my credit report for - -. Neither of them should be there. Equifax sent me a letter stating their process which clearly has not been followed and I know the process. The - listings are still on my credit report and need to be removed.
