I have a Credit Freeze with Equifax - - - -, - GA -. I applied and paid at the Equifax website for a temporary lift on -/-/2016 that I could submit to a bank to process a credit card application. Equifax would provide the required information in a PDF file but the Equifax website crashed with a software error ( something to the effect that it could not start - reader or similar ) and did not produce the PDF file with the information. Equifax does not provide a customer phone number ; Equifax does not provide an email address ; so there is no way to communicate with Equifax to either have a refund and try the request again, or for Equifax to allow to try the request again, or for Equifax to simply email the PDF file.
: I purchased and paid for a Freeze product, and I purchase and paid for a Unfreeze product but Equifax never provided an account number for those product/services. Equifax only provides a - - - number for resolving this issue. This is not acceptable because the bank credit card application for which I need the unfreeze report has a time limit and postal service resolution is not a viable alternative. This is a deceptive and shady business practice by Equifax. Clearly the intent is to discourage the use of credit report freezes. Equifax should provide a way to resolve these issues in real time either by providing a phone or an email address.
