A customer initiated a chargeback through their credit card company and Paypal, they gave the customer a full refund without them returning the items. On - - 2016 our company installed a split A/C system at the customers house, the items are as follow : - - : - C/U serial : - A/H model : - A/H serial : - Heat model : - Heat - The item came with 10 year labor and parts warranty and passed all necessary city inspections. After almost 6 months, on - - 2016, the customer initiated a chargeback through Paypal and the credit company, citing defective merchandise. Even though the items have a 10 year labor and parts warranty, we agreed to issue a refund if they returned the items. Even agreeing to pick them up for free. On - - 2016, the chargeback was ruled in favor of the customer, and there was no stipulation of returning the item. So the customer got the money back, which was $4000.00, and does not have to return it. This has happened over 3 times between us and Paypal. Where customers have initiated a chargeback, and Paypal claims to have fought in our favor with the credit card companies. In each instance the credit card companies ruled in favor of the customers and they all got to keep the items. We filed extensive paperwork with Paypal showing each step of the process between us and the customer. Our complaint is against Paypal and how they handle their chargebacks. Since we are basically having our A/C systems given out free when the customers do not have to return them.
