So - - - - is reporting negatively on my credit report. Got in contact with Equifax and told them that this company is n't to be trusted due to the inconsistency with this account. I filed a complaint with CFPB case number # - against - - - - on -/-/2016 they finally responded on -/-/16 stating that they need a few more days. Today -/-/16 is the 61 day and they have yet to respond. I want this account removed from my credit profile immediately. I do n't have another 60 days for the credit bureau to reinvestigate. Everything that they need will be uploaded with this complaint. If the credit bureau ca n't get this item removed within 15 days of receipt of this complaint I have no other choice but to file litigation against them. Per -. Procedure in Case of Disputed Accuracy Reinvestigations of Disputed Information 1. Reinvestigation Required - If the completeness or accuracy of any item of information contained in a consumer 's ( applicant 's ) file at a consumer reporting agency is disputed by the consumer and the consumer notifies the agency directly, or indirectly through a reseller, of such a dispute, the agency must, free of charge conduct a reasonable reinvestigation. This reinvestigation will determine whether the disputed information is inaccurate and record the status of the disputed information, or delete the item from the file. This must be done before the end of a 30-day period beginning on the date on which the agency receives the notice of the dispute from the consumer or reseller.
