This account was awarded to my ex-wife in our divorce decree ; she continued to charge and paid until : -/-/-, she left a balance of : $250.00 ; her high balance at one time was : $4900.00 ; she stopped paying, she did not tell me and when I found out, the card was charged off and closed and now I have this account on my credit reports. My divorce was final in -/-/-. The bills were sent to her address, and I can prove when I moved out -/-/- and I did not live with her, after -/-/-. As of -/-/- ; The Statute of Limitation Law protects me as a consumer, the 4-year anniversary from the last payment, this account is no longer collectible, no one can seek legal action towards me. Please help me remove this account from my credit reports, even though it is a low balance, it is affecting my credit.
