Pulled credit report on creditkarma.com prior to filing bankruptcy. Grant & Weber not on report. Filed bankruptcy at the end of -. Went to court in -. Started getting emails about a new item on my credit report. Found Grant & Weber updated my credit report twice for the same - - account that was included in the - bankruptcy, - update was for $200.00 and second update was for $200.00. This account shows active since - but only appeared on my credit report after I filed bankruptcy. I contacted my lawyer who was unable to have the collection activity stopped. I recently filed a dispute with -, the item was completely removed from my credit report but I feel it was never supposed to be there to begin with. The collection account is also from a hospital which I 've never seen a hospital bill appear on my credit report. I also find it strange that almost immediately after filing Chapter - a fresh item of debt was added to my credit. I begin to get phone calls threatening to take me to jail, I ultimately had to change my phone number.
