Wells Fargo & Company Credit card department,
For the most recent statement cycle of my credit card, after that cycle had closed, I received a new billing statement ( received -/-/16 ) from my bank stating that a new bill was due on -/-/16 in the amount of $48.00. On that same day after receiving the new statement, I promptly went online and paid my bill for the - due date but it still stated that the payment was still due in -. I was told by a representative that my payment was actually applied to the previous cycle and am not sure why that was since the previous cycle had closed and a new statement was generated. I argued with them to apply it to the - payment but was told that when I made the payment it would not count as my payment for -. I need them to fix this and need some confirmation from them that this will not affect my credit report or that this will occur again in the future.
