Equifax Credit Reporting Complaint

Unable to get credit report/credit score problem getting report or credit score

Equifax Credit reporting department,

Unable to get credit report/credit score Problem getting report or credit score Florida

Problem : Equifax sent an unencrypted email to me that included my user name to the Equfax web site and a transaction number. Doing so removes a layer of security ( user name ) from the unauthorized access to my credit information through Equifax 's web site. This is simply stupid by them and I want them to stop doing it. [ I am a retired - with 27 years experience. ] History : I regularly obtain my credit report from all - major agencies. For the last 3 years, I 've not been able to request it through their web portal. So I 've been calling their phone number to get it, and it arrives within a couple of weeks. But, this time, I received an email at the address they have on file which contained security information ( user ID ) and a transaction number. Unencrypted emails are not secure, and can be read all along the way from their server, to any server in-between, and on my mail server. Any nefarious person could tap into the email streams and gather such sensitive information, especially if they focus on the domain names of the - major credit agencies.
