Equifax did not delete both the disputed account and it 's duplicate collections account which is beyond the 7 year statute of limitation for being on a credit report. Equifax instead only deleted the collections item and left the original creditor. The creditor 's item is well beyond the 7 year period of first default, for being on a credit report.
