Carter-Young, Inc filed a collection notice on my credit. I called Carter-Young, Inc. and explained their mistake. - - gave my son 's name and birth date and specifically told me she was attempting to collect on debt on my minor child. Using the words " minor child. '' When I explained that to her that that is against the Federal Trade Act she got upset. I gave her the attorney information. She said she would call the attorney. I asked her six times when they were going to remove the collection notice. She did not respond to me. She hung up on me. I have never received any notice in writing from this company that they were attempting to collect a debt. I have never received a phone call from this company that they were attempting to collect a debt. I did not give them my current address and - - did not attempt to verify my mailing address, email address or telephone number.
