Synchrony Financial Credit Card Complaint

Other

Synchrony Financial Credit card department,

Florida

I applied for a Lowes credit card. I was enticed by the 5 % discount at each purchase made with the card. I pay all my cc balances monthly so as not to incur interest charges. Lowes ( Synchronicity Bank ) cc charges 24.99 % per annum on unpaid balances. I established a " paperless '' account giving Lowes my credit information including my birthdate, ssn, address, telephone number and annual income. I also connected the card number to my banking information. I made no charges until a recent large purchase, I paid the entire balance at the store because I had n't received a statement. The following month, -/-/-, I did n't receive a statement. When I called Synchronicity Bank, they said that there was no email address on the account as the reason they did n't send a statement to me. When I asked why they did n't mail a statement, they indicated that my account was " paperless ''. They had my address, my phone number, and all other pertinent information but they did n't have my email address. They indicated that it was not their policy to determine the email address once they discovered it was missing or inoperative. It is my logically concluded opinion that Synchronicity Bank is using deceptive practices to cause their customers to skip payments wherein they are then contractually allowed to charge 24,99 % annual interest plus late payment charges.
