Credit reporting company's investigation No notice of investigation status/result Illinois

I have been experiencing issues with possible identity theft so I submitted a written dispute to Equifax asking that they validate the information with several accounts showing that they have the proper person with regard to these accounts and I asked that both the creditor and credit reporting company provide documentation to show that these accounts belong to me. However, neither party produced or notified me of the documentation used to validate the information on my credit reports.
