Wells Fargo & Company Credit card department,
Wells Fargo just decided to close my credit card with out my prior approval. They are stating that my card has over six months inactivity. I have paid off my Wells Fargo card and have a zero balance, therefore I do n't understand why they closed my card?! The letter Wells Fargo sent me ( dated - -, 2016 ) also indicated " High Balance ( s ) as compared to the credit limit ( s ) or revolving line ( s ) of credit on credit report. '' Another reason is " Low payment ( s ) as compared to balance ( s ) in the last year on your Wells Fargo credit card ''. This makes no sense, since all payments have been timely. I have paid off all my credit cards including the Wells Fargo card in order to avoid debt and this is what I get?! I called the Wells Fargo customer service line on -/-/2016 and they were unable to help me ; the representative said that I needed to call -. I will try them again tomorrow to see if they can reinstate my card. This is very unethical to say the least! Banks should not unilaterally close your cards as a sort of punishment for simply paying them down to zero. Please HELP!!!
