Vehicle loan Problems when you are unable to pay Massachusetts
Wells Fargo repossessed my vehicle, after 2 months of missed payments. The initial loan for was - and I had paid on the loan for 5 years. The balance owed on the loan was approximately -. The car was sold at auction for $5100.00. I now have - negative accounts on my credit report saying I owe Wells Fargo a balance of -. When I called Wells Fargo about the very high balance due I was told that the balance imposed is for legal fees. I was also notified by Wells Fargo that I have to claim the balance of $5900.00 on my - taxes as income and when I asked for an explanation on that, because I did n't quite understand, I was told that I had to claim it as income because that is the way is it done. I wanted to add that I had -, that led to my inability to pay for 2 months, because I was out of work from being hospitalized and being rehabilitated. I did contact Wells Fargo, -/-/-, to try and offer a settlement and I was refused because the offer was too low of an amount. Also on -/-/- I sent a letter to Wells Fargo asking for them to validate the debt and to date they have not responded to my request. Wells Fargo signed for my letter on -/-/- and my credit report was not marked as " disputed " until today -/-/-, an I have not gotten any validation pertaining to the debt.
