I am trembling with anger over this situation. I work in the financial field, and I do not like to bash or make complaints about the services offered, but I feel that this must be done so that changes can be made. I am staying at a hotel, and I have a credit card that I enjoy using. I like the company, the payments are very reasonable, and I am glad to have the card. I made an extra payment on my card so that I would have that balance available to pay for my room, as I am having some repairs/upgrades completed on my home. I chose to use this card for this situation because it is a rewards card that offers points. I made the payment online, or on my mobile app - I do n't remember - but it states " Transactions submitted by midnight - - will be sent immediately and will take effect the same day. '' So, I felt confident that the credit would be available for use immediately, as I made the payment at approximately - - - - the day before. However, when the


the credit available, and they were also unable to increase my credit limit to accommodate my dilemma. This entire situation should not have occurred. If the payment is not going to post as available credit immediately, or not even by the next business day, which was today, then the information on the website should not state that it will be. In my opinion, this is a deceptive practice. I could have used a different card, or given the hotel cash to pay for my room instead of putting the money on my card. I am on a very tight budget, but even if I was n't, this is totally unacceptable. I need 100 % clear knowledge of when my payments are going to post as available credit, as I am sure everyone does. At this point, I feel duped and lied to, and now I have to come up with $200.00 from somewhere else because of this situation. This is more than just a simple inconvenience for me ; this is an embarrassing and unnecessary situation that has caused me a bit of financial hardship.
