Wells Fargo & Company Credit card department,
My name is - - - -. I am writing due to recent actions by the CFPB against Wells Fargo on the issue that their employees were opening accounts without the customers knowledge and authorization. I believe I am a victim in this issue. I believe a Wells Fargo employee opened a Credit Card in my name without my knowledge or authorization back in -. I am a - - - retiree living on a fixed income. I became a new customer of Wells Fargo in - and opened a checking and savings account. I never opened a Credit Card! I became aware of this in - - when my computer was hacked and I was scammed of $5000.00 from a Credit Card that I never knew existed. As the scam was unraveling, Wells Fargo notified me that the scammers activated a Credit Card ( that I did not even know that I had ) in my name and advanced $5000.00. After my inquiry the bank told me that the card was established in - but had never been activated until - - ( not by me but by the scammers ). Why would someone get a Credit Card and
Office and the local Sheriff 's Department. I am including a copy of the letter that I sent to - - - and - - - at Wells Fargo. At this time I have $ - delinquent charges from Wells Fargo against me and my credit report. I would like this charge removed and this matter finally resolved. Thank you! - - - -
