Wells Fargo & Company Credit card department,
Credit line increase/decrease Texas
Wells Fargo Bank reduced my available credit line from $12000.00 to $2900.00. I have a perfect pay history on this ( and all ) accounts. This effectively created a maxed out tradeline, which hurts my credit scoring. I was given no advance warning. This was done because the card was on auto-pay and not utilzed. I am in the process of refinancing my home mortgage and a maxed out tradeline hurts my credit eligibility. This practice is inconsistent with consumers ' best interest and harmful to tradeline reporting. This should not be done if tradeline is in perfect standing. Wells Fargo refused to restore original credit line without pulling my credit again ( as a hard inquiry ). Pulling my credit as a hard inquiry further lowers my credit rating. Very harmful practice to consumers. This is a punitive practice targeting consumers who do n't use the Wells Fargo credit card as often as they would like.
