Wells Fargo & Company Bank account or service department,
Checking account Using a debit or ATM card California
I need help resolving a matter of fraud related to identify theft and compliance violations by Wells Fargo Bank. My husband 's identity has been stolen. Numerous fraudulent checks and electronic transactions have been processed from our checking account, savings account and credit card. We have filed a police report and an identity theft affidavit with the Federal Trade Commission. We reported the fraud to Wells Fargo as soon as we discovered it, multiple times. Wells Fargo failed to assist us or open claims after the first - reports of fraud on our checking account and after the first report of fraud on our credit card. They did not open a claim on our checking account until our third notice to them on -/-/2016.
been negligent in helping us and has committed multiple violations of the - Transfer Funds Act ( a.k.a. " Regulation E '' ; parts 205.6 and 205.11 ), such as erroneously closing the claim and failing to provide provisional funds. In addition, Wells Fargo is in violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act by refusing to provide detailed information, requested in writing, about the transactions. We have been very cooperative and have offered to partner with them in providing as much information as necessary to investigate and try to track down the source of the fraud to help catch the criminal ( s ), but we seem to be getting nowhere. I would appreciate any help you could provide. I am attaching a document with details of events from -/-/2016 to -/-/2016.
