Barclays PLC Credit card department,
To Customer Service Team From - - Account - -/-/2016 I am notifying BARCLAY in writing on -/-/2016 - PT - I took out a balance transfer which is now due for payoff on -/-/2016 in the amount of $1000.00 ( -/-/- ). I am being told instead of being able to pay off this amount directly, BARCLAY will apply my intended payment to the amount balance due on my NON-BALANCE TRANSFER purchases. BARCLAY is punishing me financially for continuing to use my card for additional purchases and PREVENTING me from complying without penalty to the BALANCE TRANSFER transaction. This is equivalent to loan sharking and consumer fraud. BARCLAY puts me in a position to be liable for interest I am trying to avoid by paying off the BALANCE TRANSFER amount early/on time. If this is not corrected, I will cancel my account and I am also notifying ALL Consumer Credit Agencies of this practice of penalizing consumers who want to pay their debt in a timely manner
