Synchrony Financial Credit card department,
Made a payment on my credit card on -/-/16 - checked balance today and found out the payment is on hold. Told by agent I had made too many payments the previous month so they placed a hold on the account. Transferred to supervisor and advised the hold was random and authorized by law and that the Federal Reserve had placed a hold on the payment even though it had cleared my checking account. Stated the hold would be in effect for an additional four days ( 11 days total ). I contacted the Federal Reserve and they stated there was no law putting a hold on payments by the Federal Reserve and they referred me to you.
