I recently found out about the Wells Fargo lawsuit. Last year I was contacted by a collection agency -/-/- saying I had a credit card through Wells Fargo, which I do n't ever recall opening, thinking my ex may have opened it, and being that I am trying to get my credit situation in order I paid off the debt. The debt collector was - in -, IL. They said the account was opened in -/-/- and closed in -/-/-. I tried contacting Wells Fargo but they kept giving me the run around and telling me they did n't have that information I would have to contact the Debt collector. After I heard of the lawsuit and read the court file I needed to contact someone and try to see if this was one of those accounts and if I would qualify for some sort of reimbursement.
