I refinanced a student loan and the amount paid to the old lender I used was more than the balance I owed. I called and ask about a refund and was told that I would receive a check. Two weeks later I called and no check had been issued but they promised that it would be made the following Monday and mailed to me. I asked why it took so long for them to issue a refund and could not get a response from the customer service person or the supervisor.
