I opened a checking account online at Wells Fargo. I stopped by this morning to sign the paper work and make a small deposit. The banker I spoke with asked me to sign up for overdraft protection which I declined because it has to be linked to a savings account. It appears he went ahead and opened the account either way without my consent. I only realized it when I signed up to my online account
