Barclays PLC Credit card department,
Barclaycard sent me balance transfer checks in the mail. I deposited one into my checking account and they did not pay it because they said I did not have the full amount available. I looked at my recent transactions and I did swipe the card taking me under the $500.00 that I wrote the check for but I had the charge reversed. The reversal of the charge is dated on -/-/2016 the same day that the charge was made. Barclaycard got the balance transfer check on -/-/2016 and they did not honor it. They told me that they did not post the credit to the account before they posted the debit to the account. Them not paying the check resulted in my bank charging me - NSF fees and a charge back fee totaling $100.00 Barclaycard tried to also charge me a $27.00 returned check fee that they did reverse but I feel extremely disappointed that I had to pay $100.00 because they did not pay my check.
