Amex Credit card department,
I had a credit balance on my AME- card for almost $3900.00. On -/-/2016, I submitted a request for a refund of the credit balance. The amount was deducted from my account and told me to expect a check. Several weeks later, I still had not received a check. On On -/-/16, I called phone # on back of AME- card. Spoke with -, emp number -. This person said the check had been mailed to my work address ( I never received it at my workplace, and the work address was not the AME- address of record ). I was told that AME- would issue new check to be sent to the address of record on - -, - HI. Today, it is -/-/16, and I have received nothing. What especially angers me is that a prior large credit refund took THREE YEARS for AME- to pay to me. They ultimate did issue a check, but for the original amount without any interest. I had called them during the 3 year period but they had said the check had already been cashed ( which was untrue ). Please, please, help me get my money back!
