Wells Fargo & Company Bank account or service department,
Checking account Using a debit or ATM card Alabama
Consumer filled out the opt-out form for overdraft protection with Wells Fargo Bank of all debit card transactions ; however, Wells Fargo has cleared a debit payment that should have been declined. I am in the process of moving, every thing is hectic, and I forgot to change the due date for this auto pay. Under normal circumstances, this transaction would have been declined and not cleared. This has caused an overdraft fee and overdraft of my account which would have a balance if this illegal transaction had not gone through. Wells Fargo refuses to reverse the transaction, stating that Wells Fargo has the option of paying the transaction even though I have filled out an opt-out form. What is the use of this form when Wells Fargo will not honor it.
