Credit monitoring or identity protection billing dispute
TransUnion Intermediate Holdings, Inc. Credit reporting department,
Credit monitoring or identity protection Billing dispute Florida
I tried to get a credit report on-line and went directly to the web site of Transunion, thinking I was asking for my once a year free report. I was filling out a form when it disappeared and I thought an error had occurred and I would try again another time, or that I 'd receive my credit report in the mail. ( I did not realize this was an on-line report. ) I did NOT receive ANYTHING from Transunion - no credit report, no confirmation of any 'service, ' and no confirmation of any charges. Upon receiving my credit card bill, a $1.00 charge ( on -/-/16 ) and a $19.00 charge ( on -/-/16 ) showed up. When I called Transunion to ask about these charges, the C S Rep informed me I had signed up for a credit monitoring service and the $1.00 was for the sign up, and the $19.00 was an on-going monthly charge. I asked why I would do that since I knew I could get one report a year, free, from each of the - agencies. I informed her that I had received no confirmation of signing up for any service, nor had I received confirmation of any charges to me. She said she could cancel the monthly service, but that she could n't refund the charges already made. She also told me I should have gone to - for my free report, but I told her I did n't know that. I told her I would deny the charges, but then decided I should also file a report to explain what happened. I 'm - years young - I certainly do n't need my credit monitored at my age!
