Premier Portfolio Group contacted me stating that they held a payday loan debt from - - -, a company I have never done business with. The representative, -, stated that this was their last courtesy call and that I would face legal action for defrauding the company and would be sued. I asked for confirmation of the debt and was sent a letter via email. I told her that I would contact my attorney and have him call her. Instead, I contacted - - - and confirmed that I had never had dealings with them to rule out something fraudulent being done in my name. The representative from - - -, -, advised that I have no record with them and that this was a fraudulent request. - also stated that - - - does not sue anyone for debts that have been defaulted even if i had something with them. She asked that I report it as well. I contacted Premier Portfolio Group and advised them that I did not owe the debt and would not be paying. The " manager '' that answered stated that she would pursue the account with - County and would note that I had refused to pay. She stated that my case was now closed and they would pursue action.
