I am with Iberia Bank. My branch location is the - - -. I set up a " push '' draft with Iberia for direct deposit to my landlords account with - -. In -/-/- I called to find out why the draft had not occurred. - - in customer service told me that the draft rules had changed. The new protocol for bank drafts would allow only - draft attempt, and if the money was not available at that time, then the draft could not be processed. I told - on the phone that I did not want to use the service any longer. I continued to handle my payments monthly. On - -, 2016 $5800.00 was drafted by Iberia Bank from my personal bank account and supposedly deposited to - - 's bank account. She is my landlord.
- was very apologetic and said that Iberia Bank ( powers that be ) changed the rules, and he did not know anything about a " rule change. '' He apologized profusely and said that he was willing to do whatever he could, and would be happy to pick up a check from - - himself. - checked her bank account and could only see - deposits, not -. My personal account at Iberia still shows that I am overdrawn for $1900.00. - - said that there is nothing he can do about it! The powers that be, told - that they could not do anything to return my money because the money had already deposited into her account. I Today I remain overdrawn for $1900.00. - - confirmed this morning that the money is not in her account. Can you help me? Thank you, - -
