This debt collection company has had this account on my record for years and I was not aware as I was not paying very close attention. Now that I am paying attention to my credit and clearing it up, I asked them to remove it as did the original creditor --who the debt was paid to- and they refused until next year. No payments were made to this company and the original creditor even called them when the account was paid off and removed the account from them and has since sent another request ( in the last 60 days - to remove the account to which they still refuse. This is a tactic that is hurting my account and they refuse to abide by the creditors request or mine to have the account removed and so I am taking the next step in a long drawn out process. I want this collection off of my account before next year
