bank of america is reporting on my credit report an " education '' loan or - opened in -/-/-. it is being reported on a monthly basis as a derogatory account ( charge of /profit and loss ) yet theres a past due amount reported monthly. ive called bank of america spoke with their fraud department 's representative - and a - in their customer service unit - in California. - gave me a confirmation number of - for a research request. I also went in person to a Bank of America Home loan stand alone location in -, Maryland today -/-/- no one has been able find this account being reported on my credit report. my student loans were all federal student loans through the dept of education. they are current, paid on time. im trying to buy a home and my mortgage lender wont move forward because bank of america is reporting with a past due balance. ive tried to validate this debt and dispute this through the bureaus. bank of america is listed on the credit report with an address of - -, fl - telephone - account number - yet no one can find this account number or find this loan through my social security number. experian states that due to the age of the account it should not be reported on my credit report but its done monthly with a past due balance
