Savings account Problems caused by my funds being low Maryland

On -/-/- one of my savings accounts had $150.00 with no pending items. The one bill I pay from that account comes in about this time, so I transferred $30.00 from another account In the morning of -/-/-. In the afternoon, the $170.00 payment was debited and Wells Fargo charged me $35.00 as an overdraft. I have - different accounts at the bank and never have opted in to overdraft on any of my savings accounts, that would make no sense. I called to have it refunded because this is a violation of Regulation E. The rep and her supervisor would not refund the full amount, claiming that savings accounts are not covered for overdrafts that are the result of an electronic payment. I 'm not an attorney, but I respectfully disagree with the bank. At any rate, the savings account could have automatically transferred funds from its linked checking account or any of my other - cash accounts.
