Synchrony Financial Credit card department,
We opened an account through - - and were told it was - months same as cash. We set up an automatic payment that was more than enough to pay off the account in less than 18 months. My wife checked the account balance shortly before the - months was up and paid what would remain after the following automatic payment of $200.00 to close out the balance. - months later, we received a statement that we owed $29.00 and were late. The minimum payment was $2.00. The first business day after receiving this notice, I called and explained the situation to the man that answered the phone. They immediately credited the $29.00 and I told them that my wife would contact them when she had more time to address the interest issue. He took my wife 's name and told me she would be able to discuss anything with them.
to today, after - phone calls to have her authorized on the account because they did n't do that correctly yesterday, claimed that they had mailed us notices. When my wife asked where they mailed them, she told her that she could n't provide that information. She could n't tell us our own address? She also falsely claimed that our account had n't been paid consistently, even though the exact same payment amount had been applied every month that the account was open until the last payment was made. They refused to do anything at all to remedy this for us.
