Citibank Credit card department,
I used a Citibank check that comes in the mail to pay my taxes. Written on these checks clearly is there is a transaction fee for balance transfers. Not considering writing a check is a balance transfer I used the check. Surprising I was charged a fee for doing this. I contacted the customer service line and was told to write the President of Citibank if I was not happy with there reply. I did this and received a call from the executive office. I explained my problem and was told they would pull the offer and review. After 5 days I received a call from Citibank stating that this is the offer and there is nothing they can do. I explained I can not afford this fee and because I have been a loyal Citibank customer for 20 years I would like a courtesy of this being waived. Citibank would not show any loyalty to me and refused to help me. They even had the nerve to say they do not make money off of me. I said you have had my money in your bank for over 20 years and you have certainly made money on me. I feel these checks they keep sending are very misleading to there customers. I was so shocked that Citibank would not budge on showing any courtesy to a customer. I am filing this complaint to try and get some satisfaction from Citibank.
