Wells Fargo & Company Bank account or service department,

Savings account Problems caused by my funds being low Washington

For graduation I was given a check by my grandfather for $12000.00. I deposited the money into my Wells Fargo savings account. Once some of the money had been released into my account I paid off the balance on my Wells Fargo credit card. Eventually the check bounce, turns out my - - - grandfather had mistakenly only put in enough money into his account for - of his graduating grandchildren. My cousin who also graduated college cashed his check first, which resulted in my check bouncing because the money had been taken out of the account. This resulted in my savings account to go negative because I used it to pay off the card with funds that had once been released ( but now taken back because of the check bouncing. Wells Fargo then locked my account even when I put in cash into my checkings account to overturn the negative balance. Between talking to personal bankers in - local branches to explain the situation and talking to the fraud department on the phone to explain the situation they were unable to reverse the hold. They as a result are closing my account, giving me few days notice to pay off the card. I made multiple attempts to pay off the negative balance and the credit card after realizing the check has bounced. There has been - transparency, consistency, and clarity between my personal bankers at local branches and fraud department. The local bankers do n't even know why my account is being closed due to a check bouncing due to insufficient funds. They have left me confused and with little ability to amend the situation. In fact they even cut up my debit card at the branch. I have always been on time with my credit card that I have with Wells Fargo and I have made multiple attempts to make payments on the card. I have not received a hard guarantee that my credit and credit score will not be effected by the result of this bounced check and the ridiculous near immediate closing of my accounts.
