Non-federal student loan Dealing with my lender or servicer Having problems with customer service Texas
- accounts ending in xxxx and xxxx, have incorrectly listed dates of when they became past due. Due to the failure of the University - Vermont, the original creditor, to report the correct first date of missed payment, to the consumer agencies, the date of removal from my consumer report is incorrect. I have attached direct correspondents with - - a representative of the University - Vermont, and the person that reviews these disputes. In the correspondence - clarifies that the due date for the account ending in xxxx was -/-/-, thus establishing the date of first delinquency. This is in divergence to the date of -/-/- reported to the consumer agencies. - establishes that the date of -/-/- is actually the date that the past due account was forwarded to a collection agency.
date listed on my consumer report as the open date, and the erroneously used to determine the fall off date. The correspondence establishes that the date of first missed payment that leads to the cause of action happened well before the university purchased the loan as the guarantor. - also establishes that the original advance date of the loan was -/-/- : clarifying that the institution that she represents and is reporting to the consumer agency is unaware of the date that leads to the cause of action. Furthermore, - in a preceding email states that these accounts should fall off my credit report in - -, - years from date of last activity ( paid in full ) instead of the date of delinquency, indicating that she is woefully unfamiliar with or disregarding the FCRA. I have now made multiple attempts to have these issues rectified, directly with - and with the credit bureau, and thus far have only been able to have debts erroneously reported as still owed marked as paid. The credit bureau has failed to investigate the claim, instead they suggest that I dispute the item each time I speak with them. That has worked to no avail as they close the dispute after the University states the information is correct, even though the documentation submitted to the credit bureau shows otherwise.
