I have a credit freeze in place with all three reporting agencies. When I make a large purchase requiring a credit freeze, I " unfreeze '' the information. This costs - dollars in each instance. I routinely have trouble with Equifax using the online system and must resort to calling them. This is a time consuming process and is inconvenient in that it has to take place during my working hours. I recently attempted to resolve this after my last attempt in -/-/-. After a tedious e-mail exchange, I was promised a phone call which never materialized. I tried to contact them and of course they were closed. I do n't mind the periodic extortion for the automated credit lift but the company seems not to understand the responsibility granted to an entity that in effect controls an individuals financial freedom. All I ask is for Equifax to fix whatever error is in my file that does not allow either the automated phone or the web-based to access my account.
