Non-federal student loan Dealing with my lender or servicer Received bad information about my loan Tennessee

A private student loan of mine has gone into default due to lack of wages. The former owner of the debt - - - apparently sold the debt to Transworld Systems. The account was immediately put on my credit and into collections. I did not get a notice that my debt was being sold ( which is required by law ) and Transworld Systems has made no attempt to contact me to prove ownership, correct balance or to even state they have taken over the debt. I would like an investigation to be conducted into the practices of these - companies.
