Incorrect information on credit report Account terms Florida

Apartment Complex termination of lease. I had to move out due to a job offer in a different state. I have a signed Lease Contract Addendum stating that I will not get charge early termination fees or other fees and that I agree to pay $2100.00 at a set payment. However, the apartment complex charged me early termination fees and other fees that apply and now I have a bill for $6600.00 dollars which was sent to a collection agency back in 2009. I 've been trying to get the collection company to call me so they can correct the amount trying to be collected, I have called the apartment complex and they said they no longer work with that collection company and that the manager that was working there at the time is no longer there. They pulled the account and they said I was getting charged fees for early termination and others, however it is no longer their account and I need to deal with the collection company. They are hurting my credit report and I can not buy a house because I can not settle the account with the proper amount and start payments. They are reporting $6600.00 Correct amount $2100.00 I have a document stating that with signatures.
