Amex Credit card department,
American Express has changed my promotional 0 % APR to the 29.49 % penalty APR, claiming that a payment by my bank was returned unpaid. However, my bank tells me that this payment was fully honored by them. As a result of Amex 's actions, I have been charged $54.00 in illicit interest ( in addition to what may be charged on the -/-/- statement ), and my $5.00 payment was not properly applied to my account. American Express customer service representatives have been unable or unwilling to research the issue.
