Avant Credit Corporation Consumer Loan Complaint

Installment loan Managing the loan or lease

Avant Credit Corporation Consumer Loan department,

Installment loan Managing the loan or lease Connecticut

The rate/terms on a loan with Avant Credit/- were not disclosed/agreed to. Complaints have been filed previously, their response shifts slightly from claiming to have screen shots showing terms/rate to consent to receive electronic disclosures. Please see complaint below which details my experience and their various replies which again, seem to shift, neither reply shows proof that rate/terms were disclosed to me. Avant administers the loan, it appears - is the actual lender in which complaints have also been filed against in regard to this and other matter, a - account. - is known to charge unusually high interest rates as their rate of 35.94 % is the highest around and do not consider credit score as a factor, contrary to what they claim. I 've spoken with - - and he mentioned credit score as a factor as well as credit worthiness. My score at time of approval was in the mid to high - range, my rate should not be

I will again reiterate that the terms such as high interest rate were not disclosed at time of application/loan approval. This may be due to a technical glitch on my end, my computer was experiencing issues including but not limited to screen resolution, lag/freezing, web-pages not fully loading. This might account for rate not appearing or disclosed. I have since purchased a new computer. Had I known of the actual rate I would have not applied. A copy of terms was not sent to me until after I requested it, the last rep ( s ) I spoke to at Avant emailed me a copy, this was not sent to me prior. - - also stated he has screen shots showing terms/rate, etc. There is no way he can show what was seen on my end, on my computer screen, at time of application/approval. - - at - has also claimed the same, however, I have seen nothing as again, they can not show/prove what was seen on my end. They both seem to imply I am or was having difficulty making payments and are missing the point that I refuse to pay this high rate, thus the reason for not making payments. They might be use to people blindly paying them, however, in this case they are wrong. The total paid with interest is over -, according to schedule, more than double the actual loan amount. If they think I will pay this they are sadly mistaken. Information has been provided to my attorney about this matter, in case it is referred over for collection or legally. In closing, please advise them that again, if they wish to continue seeing any kind of payments they will renegotiate the loan somehow or lower rate. Their electronic disclosure ( s ) are just that, electronic, they do not have anything signed by me and might be difficult to prove. As mentioned above, his reply has shifted from having screen shots showing rate/terms to I consented to receive electronic disclosures. Also, he claims I chose the actual loan amount/terms. This is not correct, the loan amount was the only amount offered to me and chose to accept, however, not the high rate of 35.94 %.
