I took out a $3000.00 loan with avant in - - and my monthly payments were $170.00 monthly. On - - - I contacted Avant to pay off the loan and we told it WAS - which I took care of with an agent by giving them permission to debit my bank account for that amount, the funds came out of my account on - - .I received correspondence from Avant confirming my account was paid in full and they even sent me a survey to complet to rate them on my experience. Today while balancing my checking account to I see a debit from Avant for a - yes - I immediately contact avant and speak with - and ask her why was my account debited for a penny yes - on - - - when I paid the loan off in full on - - -. I was told my loan was paid in full but we had to clear a penny so we debited your account again 8 days later. I am upset this is illegal, unethical and wrong and needs to be addressed, why do they still have the ability to access my account without there permission when my loan is paid in full and they have sent me communication corroborating that. The debit was done 8 days later it 's not the a out of the debit heck every penny counts but the process is wring and illegal and needs to be addressed.
